Welcome to the Protectors of the Plot Continuum: Naruto Division. Step lightly if you're a Sue, but come on in if you're not.

First off, what is the PPC? The original Protectors of the Plot Continuum was started by Agents Jay and Acacia for the Lord of the Rings fandom. As they put it:

We love fanfic. Honestly, we do.

But changing the *main plotline* of the canon story is ridiculous. (Except in speculative AU "what-if" type stories.) And Mary Sues upstage the canonical main characters, which really should not happen. If you want to be the main character, try doing original fiction. Then you can even publish it without breaking copyright laws, maybe even get rich. But if you do that,
please knock your character down a few notches from "angel".

The way the PPC is set up, with each Mary-Sue fic chosen, agents follow Sues through the fanfiction, write down "charges," or offences against canon, and, at the end, assassinate the Sue so she can no longer spread her evil, canon-twisting influence. It's as simple as that.

Bear in mind that we are not trying to crush the hopes and dreams of little authors out there. We like to laugh. And we like to laugh at (and yes, get a little revenge for canon destruction on) Sues. If the author who has been PPCed is truly serious about writing, it's recommended that s/he takes it as a learning experience and not a personal assault. We have nothing against the authors personally...we just think that their choice of fic was not the best thought-out. Understand?

Any major complaints should be addressed to yoshimitaakiNOSPAM@yahoo.co.uk (remove the upper case letters), as he's the most even-tempered of the team. Agents V and Tetra don't want to deal with stuff like that, so don't even think of bothering them--you will be ignored to death.

That's all. Enjoy the PPCs, and always remember to keep your tongue firmly in cheek while reading.
